"A real life hero" ✨
Feminism started 300 years ago, but before that there were already some people who reflected on the position of women in society. However, most of the texts that women wrote or that defended women have disappeared.
Let's get to know the ideas of Christine de Pizan. A woman ahead of her time, who she believed in the equality of men and women long before most people.

Meanwhile she did not choose that, she faced the situation and as she herself said "I had to become a man". She took charge of a sewing workshop and in her spare time she wrote, she sent some of her sonnets and ballads to influential people of the time, thanks to this she obtained a great financial balance. In just 2 years she composed the book one hundred ballads and at the beginning of 1400 she participated in one of the most recognized debates, she launched a general debate on the condition of women and their equality with men at the French court.
She was the first woman to be recognized as a professional writer in Europe.
She had a great capacity for debate, she was the first woman who dared to write against the misogynistic ideas of the time, she generally wrote on taboo subjects, such as rape or the education of women. Cristine reflected on why men have such a negative idea of women and criticize them so much, after thinking about it, she wrote her most famous book: "The city of ladies", in this this book she reflects on what a city would be like Without the wars or the chaos that men cause, he also assures that the history of women would be different if women were not educated by men. He also defends that the female body is something positive and good, this idea is unusual for its time.
Christine stopped writing for a long time, her last writing was about Joan of Arc and the following year she died.
